This section is bound to change over time, so check back often. This is based on my recollection of how things happened, but my perspective may be biased. Hopefully, my colleagues will be able to fill in the details at a later date. Enjoy!
I guess it all started back around 1996-97, because the guitar looked like a cool instrument to learn. Plus it all started when we began to grow interested in the music of Nirvana, Alice and Chains, the Foo Fighters a.k.a. grunge music. What kid hasn't learned the intro to "Smells Like Teen Spirit when he/she first picks up the guitar. And that's how our band started. I had my wonderful Symsonics "Terminator," complete with the built-in amp. Jeff, our lefty wonder, had his Cort copy of a Stratocaster. Justin went all the way with his American Fender Stratocaster. Last, but certainly not least, Gary had his drum set (I couldn't tell you who made them).
The first cover I think we ever played was X-Static by the Foo Fighters. It was interesting, to say the least. Of course, we couldn't have three guitarists, so Justin made the leap to bass (What a change!) and that is the current lineup of Flyer. We have been stuck in Gary's basement for the past two years, looking for a way to break out and unleash our music upon an unsuspecting world (How's that for melodramatic?!) Hopefully, this summer we can finally begin to go out and play the music that we love. Well, there is our history. Not very extensive, but we don't want to bore you. Hopefully, in the future, we'll have pictures, sound files, etc, but we'll leave that for some other time.
